The Museu Picasso will extend its visiting hours from 16th March onwards

The Museu Picasso of Barcelona will extend its visiting hours during the spring, the summer and part of the autumn of 2019. In this way, from 16th March until 31st October, the museum will be open seven days a week: Mondays from 10am to 5pm (except: Monday, 13th May and 20th May , the museum will remain closed), Thursdays from 9am to 9.30pm, and the rest of the days, from 9am to 8.30pm.

This change responds to the need to adjust the opening times to the volume of visitors we receive during these months, which is usually higher than during the rest of the year.

During this period, the museum will maintain the free-of-charge admission on the first Sunday of each month, and all Thursdays from 6pm to 9.30pm. Furthermore, you should also take into account the fact that there will be three exceptional days of open doors: the Day of Santa Eulàlia (12th February), the International Museum Day (18th May) and the Day of la Mercè (24th September).

Regarding this point we would like to remind you of the recommendation to do your booking in advance, given that the capacity is limited.  In all cases you will be able to do so from four days prior to any of the free-of-charge days through our website.

Finally, from 1st November we will go back to our autumn-winter opening times. On Mondays the museum will remain closed, and will open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm. Moreover, on Thursdays the extended opening times will be maintained, until 9.30pm, and admission will be free from 6pm onwards.

If you want more information about the opening times of the Museu Picasso, the admission prices and the discounts available for various collectives, we invite you to visit the website of the museum or follow us on the social networks. We look forward to seeing you soon!
