MuseumNext 2013. New challenges

Representing the Museu Picasso, I was were lucky enough to be able to attend the edition of MuseumNext that took place on May 13^th, 14^th and 15^th in Amsterdam, thanks to an invitation from the organisers for having been joint organisers last year.

Now that a few days have passed, there has been time enough to put all the information, ideas and shared knowledge received in order, and I would like to highlight those concepts that seemed most relevant. However, much better than this summary, we recommend a visit to its Tumblr.

4th International Seminar on Art and Law in Malaga

On Friday 13 April the Museo Picasso Málaga auditorium hosted the fourth celebration of the 4th International Seminar on Art and Law in Malaga, a result of  an agreement between the lawyers’ Bars of Málaga, Barcelona and Paris, to organize consecutively a gathering each spring that would provide a forum for the latest developments in the field of law applied to art, and would not be limited to members of the Law career but actively undertake to share and discuss these matters with the other parties involved: museums, galleries, artists, dealers, public authorities, author’s rights agencies, etc.

Museums and the Web in 10 Flashes / 1

Museums and Social Media in Portugal: rapport of a conference

On the 11th and 12th of November 2010 the Museu de Portimão, in southern Portugal, hosted a Conference of Users of Technological Applications for the Cultural Heritage. The Conference included a workshop on Museums & Social Media at which the Museu Picasso was invited to make a presentation.
