On May 11th and 12th we had the pleasure of attending the conference "Digital strategy in the museums" which was held in the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya. It was a very fruitful meeting that allowed us to share knowledge with professionals of digital management and to explore different experiences from various museums that have taken place during the vertiginous digital changes that we have undergone in recent years. On Friday January 30th we held the seminar “The Blue Period: New Interpretations by Means of Technical Studies” at the Museu Picasso. Changes in the galleries of the collection of the Museu Picasso this January

January is a month of good resolutions and also of renovations, and just as we've been doing for the last few years, it is time for a series of changes in the galleries of the permanent collection of the museum. Changes which are both due to loans of works to our own temporary exhibitions or to other centres, as well as the removal of pieces for their preventive conservation, and also changes that derive from maintaining of a coherent expositive discourse in the galleries. What will we be doing in 2015? This last Tuesday we presented the museum’s programming of what the museum will be doing this year. Exhibitions, seminars, activities, presentations, restorations and family workshops, amongt others, will form part of the new programme that we have planned for 2015. The early Picasso in Malaga

The Museo Picasso Málaga has just inaugurated an exhibition entitled “Picasso of Malaga. Earliest works”, curated by Rafael Inglada, which looks into the ties between Picasso and his city of birth. This exhibition has been organized with the support and collaboration of the Museu Picasso, Barcelona.
