This autumn we are renewing the galleries of the collection

Last week we started the changes to the permanent collection of the museum to renew the galleries for this autumn. Throughout the year we have been systematically changing a certain number of drawings and paintings, turning, in this way, the collection into a living organism which is renewed and modified non-stop. The reasons for these changes that we do on a periodical basis is due in some cases to reasons of preventive conservation, as would be the case of the works on paper and the works being restored, and also for reformulations of the expositive discourse of the galleries, either to ...

The summer of Picasso and of the museum

As with each summer, from the museum we put forward a series of proposals so that you are able to get to know the museum onsite and in person, to gain a greater insight in a virtual online way, to discover the Barcelona that Picasso lived in, and above all to get to know the artist a little better, his life as well as his work. Picasso and the artist’s books

The work and the interest of Pablo Picasso for the publishing world is a field which is not explored much and one which brings up numerous surprises, both in the field of current publishing, and more especially in that of bibliophiles. We’re renovating the galleries of the permanent Collection this spring

Spring is the time for changes and during the Mondays of this month of May we will be making changes to the galleries of the Collection. The reasons for these periodical changes are in some cases for preventive conservation issues and also for reformulations of the expositive discourse of the galleries, either to show works that are not habitually seen or for temporary loans to exhibitions of the museum or of other museums.
